MY STORY...

A big part of my life is my faith and my relationship with Jesus.

Growing up in a Christian home allowed me to know God from a young age. I am grateful for having a wonderful community around me that encouraged me (+ still does) to follow Jesus. Some of my favorite things were participating in worship, going to AWANA & sleeping over at Christian summer camp. It was in these places where my foundation in Christ was built & I learned the basics of who God was.

As I got older, I realized it was my decision to seek God + have a personal relationship with Him– it was not up to my parents or family. I got to know God better & understand more of who He is, but it did not come without some struggles and life lessons. Specifically, in middle school, God taught me a lot about coming out of shyness, being more comfortable in uncomfortable situations & finding confidence in Christ.

In high school and now into college, I’ve understood how important my relationship with Christ is & how it affects every aspect of my life. Being a Christian is more than just going to church & reading your Bible, but it’s about daily surrendering your life to God & having an intimate relationship with Him. I’ve gone through some struggles, but I have also seen God at work & witnessed His faithfulness.

I have chosen to live my life for Christ, not because of my parents or because it’s “cool”, but because I have fallen in love with God & want to live the rest of my life for Him. I see evidence of Him at work in helping me to be more outgoing & more comfortable with going outside my comfort zone & less afraid to share my faith.

2 Corinthians 12:9- “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Romans 8:28- “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
